Enjoy a fun, authentic, escorted tour in Amador County, believed by many to be the Heart of the Gold Rush Mother Lode. Your personal guide is a retired teacher with many years of local and regional history to share with you.

During your morning or afternoon tour, you'll do most of the following - depending on interest and availability:

• Walking tours of the Gold Rush towns of Sutter Creek or Jackson
• Hear stories of Early California, The Gold Rush and hard rock mining
• Tour the historic back roads of Amador County
• Visit the site of The Knight Foundry in Sutter Creek
• Tour one or more local cemeteries and hear the stories of early residents
• Visit the engineering marvel of the The Kennedy Mine Tailing Wheels
• Tour the Native American village of Indian Grinding Rock
• Gain insight into local plants, trees, wildlife and geology of the region
